February 8-9, 2018 Theme: External & Corporate Partnerships
Utah State University’s Center for Innovative Design and Instruction (CIDI) is a thought leader in developing successful external and corporate partnerships. During the ThinkTank, the CIDI team will share best practices and pitfalls in identifying and cultivating mutually beneficial partnerships. If you’re looking into potential partnerships to improve the design and delivery of courses and programs, this is a great opportunity to learn from those who have gone through the journey. Why Utah State: Utah State University is a leader in the instructional design field. Among many things, they have a premier faculty development program. They also have a highly rated ID master's degree that feeds into their CIDI shop. They are among the first to partner with Canvas, and have created a Canvas authoring tool (Design Labs) that many campuses are using today. We aim to focus our visit on the faculty development program they have, given that's a hot topic among many universities right now.
