Georgia Tech Professional Education, an academic division of the Georgia Institute of Technology, is seeking an outstanding individual with exceptional academic, strategic and interpersonal skills to join as a nontenure track faculty member as a Professor of the Practice of Financial Technology, with a working title of Academic Program Director – Financial Technology (APD-FinTech).
The Academic Program Director for Financial Technology is a new opportunity and has been created to oversee the program creation, development, implementation, and sustainability of the new FinTech education and training on a wide range of FinTech topics at GTPE. This position and activity are directly related to the FinTech initiative that is a State of Georgia and Board of Regents University System of Georgia (USG) priority to develop career pathways in the FinTech industry. The position is tied to student success through the creation and teaching of FinTech Academy professional education courses.
The APD-FinTech role will build, deliver, and aid in administration of professional education courses for the FinTech industry, in collaboration with partners across Georgia Tech, as well as, the various USG institutions or other colleges or universities participating in the FinTech initiative. The individual filling this position will report to the Associate Dean of Academic Programs at GTPE. The APD-FinTech will hold a faculty non-tenure track position, supporting a variety of professional development and training activities, and maintaining quality courses. The APD-FinTech will teach in the programs, work with other faculty to create new courses and repackage existing courses that meet learner and employer demand and integrate courses into a curated portfolio of FinTech offerings.
