Course Title: PCO 103 Orientation to Professional, Continuing, and Online Education (PCO)

Course Description:

What are the various ways universities organize and empower their units for professional, continuing, and online education?  What are some unique features and approaches within these entities, particularly in how they address the educational needs of adult learners? This module provides a broad understanding of the variety of roles and models for professional, continuing, and online education across the academic landscape -- and the issues and opportunities they face.This module also looks at internal organizational structures, skill sets, and staffing. Finally, this module discusses professionalism and the role that UPCEA plays in networking and educating those in this domain.

  • Refund Policy: Registrants who request to cancel their registration by 5:00 pm EST on the Friday after the course begins will have the option to transfer that registration one time to a colleague at their institution or to any other Online PD course offered within six months of cancellation. If no suitable offerings are available within six months at the time of cancellation, registrants can request a refund of their registration fee minus a $50.00 administrative fee. No transfers or refunds will be available after the first week of the course. Cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to pd@upcea.edu
