Course Title: PCO 102: The Language and Culture of Higher Learning

Course Description: What does an aspiring academic administrator need to know in order to work and navigate within an academic enterprise?  What terminology, standards, roles, and structures govern and guide the contemporary university?  This module provides an understanding of definitions, roles and titles, processes, and organizational governance models needed to be conversant and adept in navigating within the academic ecosystem.

  • Cancellation Policy: Registrants who request cancellation by 5:00 pm EST on the Friday after the course begins will have the option to transfer that registration one time to a colleague at their institution or to any other Online PD course offered within six months of cancellation. If no suitable offerings are available within six months at the time of cancellation, registrants can request a refund of their registration fee minus a $50.00 administrative fee. No transfers or refunds will be available after the first week of the course. Cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to pd@upcea.edu
